Automatic Gun Barrel Brushing Machine (Hydraulic)
A clean Gun Barrel is a pre-requisite for consistent Ballistics and also for Accuracy of Firing. Since, the manual cleaning of the Gun barrel is both laborious and time consuming, AUTOMATICGUN BARREL BRUSHING MACHINE has been developed to assist efficient cleaning in short time for various guns just with 2 crew men. The machine is conveniently clamped on to the muzzle of the gun quickly for operation. It can be used with 105,120,125,130 or 155 guns using proper adopters. The main purpose of this machine is to provide powered reciprocating action of the brushes (Stroke 1 meter ) by Hydraulic system. The prime mover used in this machine is motor / oil engine driven hydraulic pump creating hydraulic pressure of 35 Kg/cm2. 5 brushes can be used at a time. Hence, the full gun is cleaned in 1 cycles. It takes 2 to 3 hours to clean the gun @ 8 to 10 strokes per minutes depending upon the various factors. The entire machine is mounted on suitable chassis having motor able arrangement and it can be towed by suitable army vehicle and driven to the gun point. IT can be aligned to the gun and the Gun barrel cleaning can be cleaned in CITU.
